Sweet, sweet sleep. Before giving birth, it was something I took for granted. After the birth of my son, it became an obsession. I was looking for any reason to explain why he woke up and I was looking for any way how to put him back to sleep. While I was tracking Baby G’s sleep on a generic sleep tracking app, mommies in my due date group mentioned this thing called the “Huckleberry Sweet Spot.”
The Huckleberry Care App somehow figured out how to nail their baby’s wake windows for easy, restful sleep for child and mom! I downloaded Huckleberry ASAP. I used this app to track Baby G’s sleep, feedings, and poops religiously. I was determined to find a pattern and get us on a path to better sleep!
[I have been using Huckleberry Sleep on my own volition since April 16th of this year. However, I was gifted a premium subscription and sponsorship of this post from Huckleberry Care as of July 2020.]
The Huckleberry Sweet Spot
Huckleberry has been a Godsend for myself and other moms in my facebook due date group. When we try to help each other trouble-shoot sleep and naps, it is often asked, “What are you wake windows? What’s your sweet spot?”
You see, babies don’t need a set schedule so much as they need a routine. And they have a “sweet spot” where they are not under- or over- tired and sleep is going to be achieved fairly easily. I touch on this a bit in this blog post.
Wake windows are super helpful for your baby, however they are all averages and estimates. And remember, your bundle of joy is unique and special. Therefore, it can sometimes be difficult to nail the wake window and that’s where Huckleberry’s Sweet Spot comes into play.
Track your baby’s sleep for approximately 5 to 7 days, and you’ll see their sweet spot populate at the top of your home screen! Now, this won’t give you a set schedule for the day, as the next nap is based entirely on how long your loved one’s nap was.
Never Worry About Naps Again!
Another feature I have loved using Huckleberry for is the fact that it is password protected. That means that no matter who is watching baby, we are all on the same page for my baby’s naps.
I downloaded Huckleberry on both my husband’s and mother’s phones! That way if mama needs a break, I can pass my son off guilt free and know that he will get the sleep he needs!
In fact, when my mother babysat for us this weekend, it was great knowing that she knew Baby G’s sweet spot. She was able to track his naps from her phone (and that meant I could “peek in” from my phone and see how everything was going!) You can download Huckleberry and share your sign-in with your child’s caregivers, too.
What is Huckleberry’s Premium Subscription?
Huckleberry Premium is a personal sleep coach in your pocket. You fill out a detailed questionnaire, select a few days for your sleep analyst to review, and you get a personalized, comprehensive sleep plan.

I personally paid for my comprehensive sleep plan when Baby G was 2 months old. He wasn’t sleeping much – in fact we had an average of 13-14 hours of sleep in a 24 hour period, when the average for babies his age was 15 – 18 hours of sleep!
Huckleberry Premium Gives You a Comprehensive Sleep Plan
In May, I decided to subscribe and try Huckleberry Premium. During my questionnaire, I voiced my concern over my baby’s short naps and early morning wakeups. At the time, I felt that I would be more rested if I could simply get a break during the day. They provided a sample schedule and suggestions on how to lay a foundation for better sleep.
My sleep analysis also had a step-by-step plan to implement for my child to have improved sleep. They used a step-wise approach and an overview of how the next two months could look as we trouble-shooted his sleep.
And, since Huckleberry Premium is a monthly subscription, I could submit data for a new analysis and plan as needed! All of this at the fraction of other sleep courses!
The Four Month Sleep Regression is No Joke
If you have been following me on social media, you will see me talk about Baby G’s sleep a lot. In fact, I was showing screen shots of his Huckleberry data when he would wake every 1-2 hours at night. One of those stories caught Huckleberry’s attention and they graciously offered a partnership to help Baby G sleep better.
Admittedly, we have already sleep trained for my son to put himself to sleep in his crib at night. However, the four month sleep regression left me with a child that would not let me put him down for any naps.
While I have been trying to practice better sleep practices, I often get “nap trapped” for 1-2 naps in the afternoon. (“Nap trapped” refers to when an infant will not let you put them down for a nap. They use their full nap on you, even when your bladder is busting.)
This means I can’t do near as much as I’d like to! So, that’s where Huckleberry Care’s Premium Feature comes in.
Huckleberry Walkthrough & Questionnaire
In this video, I will walk you through Huckleberry’s Sleep App. We will also be answering the questionnaire together to submit Baby G’s new sleep analysis!
I will have our sleep plan within a week!
I am very excited to see what Huckleberry will have to say about Baby G’s sleep patterns. I really hope that we can create consistent, consolidated naps so that I can enjoy “me time.”
While the sleep plans are personalized to each individual child, stay tuned on Instagram and on the blog (sign up for our email in the side bar)! I’ll be giving regular updates on Baby G’s sleep and how we are implementing the information and sleep plan that Huckleberry gives us through Instagram stories. We would also love for you to stay tuned for our one and two month updates!
